A penthouse rooftop transformed into a year-round lounge with continuous decking, integrated planters and a freestanding louvered pergola.
Design challenge
High wind loads, intense summer sun, and a waterproof membrane that could not be penetrated by fixings.
MELIORA solution
Adjustable pedestals carry the WPC deck above the membrane. A freestanding aluminium-cored pergola clad in WPC slats casts a calibrated shadow play across the lounge.
